State-Mandated Competency Exams
Education and training are key components to becoming an early childhood education provider. Community Coordinated Care for Children, Inc. (4C) is the Training Coordinating Agency (TCA) for Circuits 9 and 18 for the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF). We provide state-mandated competency exams to child care providers in Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.
System Update: Access Restored
The DCF Student System is now operational.
To access your account, all users are required to reset their passwords. Please click the “Forgot Password” link on the login page to initiate the reset process.

- Forgot Password: Reset your password by selecting “Forgot Password” on the login page – https://childcaretraining.myflfamilies.com/studentsite/admin/signin
- Verification Code: Each login will require a verification code sent to your email for added security.
DCF has recently updated its security standards on the Florida Early Childhood Professional Development Registry – Child Care Training website.
Please note: Administrators must reset their passwords using the student site login page, not the admin login page.
- Go to the Florida Early Childhood Professional Development Registry website
- Select ‘I forgot my password.’
- Follow the prompts to verify your email address. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
You will need to choose a password with 15-30 characters, including one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, 1 number, and one special character.

Child Care Training Competency Examinations are administered statewide. For details, click here. Exams may be taken once without training by calling the Child Care Training Information Center at 1-888-352-2842 and requesting to register for exemption exams. To enroll for a competency exam, log in to the Child Care Training Portal and select “Competency Exam Enroll/Unenroll” on the Personal Menu.

Haitian Creole
We are pleased to announce that the 40-hour competency exams are now available in Haitian Creole. We encourage all interested individuals to register.
Who is eligible?
Anyone registering for the 40-hour competency exams now has the option to select Haitian Creole as their preferred language.
How to register:
- Log in to your Child Care Training Account: Florida Early Childhood Professional Development Registry
- Verify your contact information.
- Select the “Competency Exam Enroll” option from the Personal Menu.
- Carefully read the instruction box and acknowledge that you understand this information.
- Follow the remaining four steps to select exams, the desired exam session, and pay to complete registration.
