Free Summer Food Program: Healthy Meals for Children When School Is Out

As summer adventures begin, keeping children fueled, healthy, and energized is a top priority for Central Florida families. Summer BreakSpot is a fantastic, federally funded program that keeps children and teens nourished all summer long.

Whether you call Orange County, Osceola County, or Seminole County home, free, nutritious meals are just around the corner for kids and teens.

What Is Summer BreakSpot?

Summer BreakSpot provides balanced breakfasts, lunches, snacks, or suppers at no cost to children and teens 18 and under. The program helps bridge the summer hunger gap when school cafeterias close, ensuring every child has access to healthy food.

All meals meet USDA nutrition guidelines and include fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and milk.

Why Families Love It

Absolutely Free: There is no cost for the meals, and no financial paperwork or proof of income is ever required.

No Stress, No Registration: You don’t need to sign up, apply, or register in advance. Kids can simply show up during designated meal times.

Convenient Locations: Sites are located throughout Central Florida at places you already visit, including local schools, public libraries, parks, and community centers.
