Osceola County Firefighters Build Trust at Head Start Palm Plaza Center

The dedicated Engine Crew from Station 62 of the Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS Department recently made an engaging visit to the 4C Head Start Palm Plaza Child Development Center. Their primary goal was to educate young minds about the critical importance of fire prevention.

During their visit, the crew interacted warmly with the children, sharing vital information in an approachable manner. “We explain to the children the basics, such as how to dial 911 in case of an emergency,” said Bethzaida Garcia, Public Education Coordinator for the Osceola County Fire Rescue and EMS Department.

She emphasized their mission to build trust, adding, “We also show them that firefighters are their friends, ready to help and protect them.” The hands-on activity aimed to foster a sense of safety and awareness among the children, making learning about fire safety both fun and memorable.
