Throughout November, communities in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties will host events where residents can receive free turkeys or Thanksgiving meals. These giveaways provide an opportunity for families to enjoy a festive meal. Be sure to check the calendar for specific dates and locations so you don’t miss out on this generous offering:

Saturday, November 15

• Turkey Giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon. Orange County Sheriff’s Office, 2500 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32804. One turkey per household while supplies last. For more information, call 407-836-4357.

Saturday, November 22

• Thanksgiving Project from 10 a.m. to noon. Heart of Florida United Way is giving Thanksgiving meal kits to families in need in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. Each kit includes shelf-stable food items, a roasting pan, a dessert pan, community resource info, AND a grocery gift card — all meant to give families a hand up this holiday. • Turkey Giveaway at 10 a.m. Solid Rock Community Church, 1904 Michigan Ave., Kissimmee, FL 34744. It is first-come, first-served while supplies last. It is open to all Osceola County residents. For more information, click here.

Monday, November 24

• Turkey Giveaway from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Inter&Co Stadium, 655 W. Church St., Orlando, FL 32805. Get a free turkey with sides. It’s first-come, first-served until it’s gone. In partnership with the Coalition for the Homeless and the Christian Service Center, essential items will also be provided to our local unhoused neighbors. For more information, call 407-246-2005.
