The Orlando Dental Team from Big Smiles America visited the 4C Early Head Start Ferguson Child Development Center. A dentist, a hygienist, and an assistant provided top-quality dental care to students in the familiar and comfortable surroundings of their school, allowing them to stay in class and continue learning.

Big Smiles is an in-school dental program designed to address the current dental crisis and keep children healthy. Each year, more than 51 million school hours nationally are lost due to poor oral health. Big Smiles Dental tackles this national issue by offering in-school dental care at no cost.

Head Start provides a variety of health services, including immunizations, dental and medical care, mental health support, nutritional services, and early identification of health problems.
