We produce this newsletter as part of 4C’s mission to be a community leader, providing high-quality services that improve the lives of children and families.
The State of Florida is offering a sales tax exemption on qualifying items related to disaster preparedness to help families prepare for the upcoming hurricane season. The sales tax holiday will take place August 24 through September 6. The list includes bigger ticket items such as generators and carbon monoxide detectors, as well as other items such as flashlights, batteries and supplies for pets. September is Baby Safety Month
Parents and caregivers have many responsibilities, but keeping the baby safe and healthy is the No. 1 priority. Whether you are expecting your first baby, adding to your family, or a grandparent, now is the time to put some simple steps into action to keep the baby safe. National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month
September is dedicated to educating children and their families on how to prevent childhood obesity. It provides opportunities for families, schools, and communities to share information about their plans and events aimed at educating children on how to deal with health issues such as obesity. It is also an opportunity for parents to learn more about how they can help improve their child’s health. To learn more, click here.
