HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS WEEK | May 1 to 7
Living in Florida has its perks, but don’t forget to prepare for the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season, which starts June 1. After seeing the damage hurricanes caused in recent years, it’s a good idea for Floridians to stock up on at least seven days’ worth of essentials, including food, water, medicine, batteries. CHILDREN’S BOOK WEEK | May 5 to 11
Children’s Book Week was established in 1919 as a way to celebrate books and the connections they make. Every year, this popular program grows and adapts, offering new resources and ideas for people to get involved. To learn more, click here.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK | May 5-9
Teachers light the way to knowledge, guiding students to endless possibilities. From morning greetings to classroom talks and after-school help, they shine on all parts of student growth.
