As we approach the summer months ahead, families have options for their child’s learning, growth, and development in response to the COVID-19 health emergency.
Summer VPK Options
Summer VPK: Summer VPK program with a minimum of 200 hours (public schools and private providers). To register an age-eligible 4-year-old child for a Summer VPK program, please visit the Family Portal, click here.
Reenrollment into Summer VPK: Given that a state of emergency was declared, students who have not substantially completed the 2019-20 VPK school year program, meaning that the child was enrolled less than 70% or 378 hours, can reenroll into a 2020 summer VPK program.
VPK Specialized Instructional Support (SIS): VPK SIS is an option for age-eligible 4-year-old children with disabilities who have a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP) where certified or licensed professionals provide instruction or therapy in an individual or small group settings outside of a traditional classroom setting.
