New Health and Safety Rules
Child care providers that offer School Readiness must have annual health and safety inspections. Federal reauthorization of the Child Care Development Fund included new health and safety requirements for child care providers that receive CCDF funding. Florida’s new Health and Safety Checklists and Inspections rule became final in October 2016. The state rule requires at least one inspection a year for all child care providers offering the School Readiness Program. Inspections began November 2016.
