Youth Education | Orange County Citizens’ Commission for ChildrenThe program includes a teacher assistant to plan, implement and teach a variety of hands-on, experimental learning events to youth audiences. The program offers a safe environment for youth to experience and learn skills, leadership development and citizenship.
F.O.C.U.S. | Aspire Health Partners
An empowerment/counseling program serving children and their families. A counselor assists in developing opportunities for an atmosphere of caring and understanding within the family system.
English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) | 4C
Provides language training courses to facilitate integration in the English-speaking community. ESOL classes help clients improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing skills and overall confidence when using English.
Community Health Nurse | Orange County Health Department
A Registered Nurse provides services in both schools and homes. Services include health screenings, health
education, immunizations, counseling, and referrals.
Employment Specialist | Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc.
An Employment Specialist assists residents in obtaining and maintaining employment. Through job club classes, resume development, job search assistance and direct employment referrals, many participants are able to find and keep employment. Assistance is also available for individuals who are underemployed and need assistance in obtaining a higher paid employment opportunity. Referrals to other community resources are provided if needed.

Funded by the Orange County Citizens’ Commission for Children, the Neighborhood Centers for Families (NCF) are available to all Orange County residents. A Neighborhood Center for Families is made up of non-profit organizations, government agencies, churches and community groups that work together to provide family-friendly accessible services and activities to families in their neighborhoods. Each NCF is uniquely designed to address the needs of the surrounding community. All services are offered free of charge and typically include employment assistance, counseling, academic enrichment activities and health services.
